Remove the AI markers from my website design

Audit your site against a precise set of rules to strip away every sign of a design churned out by AI: typography, colors, buttons, icons, copy and layout.

What this skill does

Sites rushed out with AI all look the same: purple gradients, glowing halos, rockets and sparkles, headlines "Revolutionize your business," buttons saying "Learn more," em dashes everywhere, empty cards padding out the grid. Your visitors feel it the moment they land, and trust drops.

This skill gives your assistant a strict ruleset, drawn from our agency experience, to spot and fix each one of these markers, page by page: copy, typography, colors, buttons, icons, images, layout and rhythm. The result: a site that looks designed by a team, for your clients.

When to use it

  • Before launching a site or page created with AI assistance.
  • When your site "feels template" but you can't say why.
  • To have a mockup reviewed before showing it to a client.
  • In routine, for every new page.

With Claude Code or ChatGPT with Code Interpreter, the assistant fixes the code directly; otherwise, it gives you a list of fixes to make.

Example result

Fictional example. Homepage for an accounting firm, generated with an AI tool.

Before: 41/100. Key markers noted:

  • Headline "Revolutionize your accounting through innovation": hollow, replaced with "Your books kept current, your filings on time, an expert who picks up the phone."
  • Twelve em dashes in the page, all removed.
  • Purple gradient background with glow behind the button: replaced with the brand blue, no glow.
  • Three different button styles, one saying "Learn more": unified into a single button "Book a call with an expert."
  • One rocket icon and one lightbulb among line-weight icons: replaced with the same icon family.
  • One "And much more" card padding the grid: removed, grid moved to three columns.

After: 84/100. Remains to decide: swap the AI-generated team photo for a real shot of the firm.

Going further

Keep these rules in your project instructions so each new page follows them from the start. For a complete redesign with an identity that does not look like every other site, Skyward can lead it with you.
