DartDart is a language created by Google, designed to build user interfaces rather than for general-purpose use. In development, it compiles on the fly: a change appears on screen within a few seconds, without restarting the application. Once the project is finished, Dart compiles into native code specific to each system, for performance close to an application written in Swift or Kotlin. It is the language Flutter rests on, the framework we use to draw your screens.

It becomes relevant as soon as a company wants to avoid two separate developments in Swift and in Kotlin for the same project. Dart comes into its own combined with Flutter, which uses it to draw every screen of the application. Behind the interface, we most often plug in Firebase for authentication and notifications, a solution quick to put in place for a first launch. When the business logic goes beyond what Firebase covers natively — rules specific to your activity — we develop a separate API in Node.js rather than making everything rest on a single service.
