Tailwind CSS is never billed on its own: it is part of the complete development of a React or Next.js interface, whose price depends on the number of screens, the components to design and the interactions requested. After a first conversation about your project, we draw up a detailed quote within 24 hours, covering the styling of each screen according to your visual identity. This scoping avoids any rough estimate and gives you a precise view of the scope before development starts.
On a standard scope, styling the screens is part of the project's overall schedule, between 21 and 60 days from the first discussion to going live. A broader project, with many components or several distinct areas to style, spreads over closer to 60 days. For a simple showcase site with few screens, 21 to 30 days are enough to lay down a coherent system of classes with no needless complexity. This lead time depends above all on the number of distinct screens to design, not on the styling technique chosen.
A framework with pre-built components imposes a default style — buttons, cards, menus already drawn — which then has to be overridden to match your visual identity. Tailwind CSS starts from the opposite principle: no appearance is imposed, each component is dressed from your visual identity validated in the mock-up. We choose this approach as soon as a project has to stand out visually from a generic template. On a site where the visual aspect matters less than speed of setting up, a pre-built theme remains a more direct option.
Yes, we start by reading the existing configuration file and the way the classes are used across the project, to spot the inconsistencies accumulated: colours hard-coded rather than drawn from the configuration, repeated classes that should be grouped into components. This diagnosis lets us propose a progressive takeover, screen by screen, rather than a complete rewrite of the style system, unless the state of the project genuinely makes that second option faster to carry out.
It is taken as an optional annual package, priced according to the actual scope of the project delivered: updates to Tailwind CSS and its dependencies, adjustments to the configuration file if your visual identity changes, display fixes reported by your teams. You remain free to take it or not. Without this package, we work occasionally on quotation for any change requested after delivery, but regular follow-up limits the visual discrepancies that accumulate over successive additions.
Yes, without restriction: the configuration file, the styled components and the code repository belong to you from the delivery of the project onwards. Tailwind CSS is an open source tool, which means no proprietary licence ties you to our agency afterwards. Another team can take the project over, change the configuration file or develop the components without our involvement, from the day after delivery if you decide so. You can also request an export of the style guide used, to document the visual choices made over the course of the project.
Indirectly, yes: only the utility classes actually used on the site are compiled into the final style sheet, which gives a lighter file than a style sheet written by hand on a large project. Faster loading counts among the technical criteria Google observes. This effect remains secondary next to the content, the page structure and the markup, which we work on in parallel so that interface speed is not the only point addressed on the search side.
