React Agency

In React we develop interfaces for business tools, client areas and internal applications that have to stay fluid under heavy interaction: screen scoping with your teams, breakdown into components, then monitored production release.

Understanding

What is React?

React is a JavaScript library created by Meta to build interfaces out of reusable components: a button, a table or a form is coded once and reused everywhere in the project. It only recalculates the parts of the screen affected by a change of data, without reloading the whole page. React handles neither server rendering nor routing between pages: an interface layer to be completed according to the project. At Skyward, it serves tools used day to day by identified teams, more than public pages consulted once.

What is React used for?

React suits interfaces rich in interaction: dashboard, internal business tool, configurator, client area with filters and frequent updates. It comes into its own when identified users come back to the tool regularly, more than when anonymous visitors have to find the page from Google. For a public site that has to be findable, we go through Next.js, which adds the server rendering React alone does not have. For a showcase site with no application logic, a WordPress theme remains quicker to put in place.

Use cases

What we build with React

Six families of projects come up most often when a company entrusts us with a React interface.

Business dashboard

We develop internal dashboards that centralise data from several tools, with filters, charts and live updating, to give a team a clear view without upsetting its working habits.

Product configurator

We build configurators that recalculate a price or an availability at each user choice, with no page reload, for a simulation that stays pleasant even with many options combined.

Secure patient area

We create personal areas for healthcare organisations, with file tracking, appointment booking and protected exchanges, in an interface that remains readable despite the volume of information displayed on screen.

Property search

We produce search interfaces with an interactive map, cross-referenced filters and results updated without reloading, for a fast search journey even across a catalogue of several thousand properties.

Production monitoring

We develop monitoring interfaces connected to workshop or stock data, with visual alerts and continuous refreshing, for a team that has to spot an incident before it blocks the line.

Modular SaaS interface

We build interfaces for internal SaaS platforms, with components shared from one module to the next, to add a feature without rewriting what already works elsewhere in the product.

Ecosystem

The technologies that pair well with React

React deals only with the screen: the business logic, the authentication and the data access go through an API we develop separately, almost always in Node.js, to keep the same language on both sides. If the project evolves towards a need for search visibility, we do not rewrite the interface: we migrate it to Next.js, which rests on React and adds the server rendering that was missing. It is the foundation we also use for our own internal tools.

Our expertise

React agency for custom interfaces

We deliver complete React interfaces: screen scoping with your teams, breakdown into reusable components, connection to your API or your existing data, then production release followed by a stabilisation phase during which we fix the first feedback reported by your users.

External libraries or custom components?

We limit external libraries to real needs and develop the components specific to your trade ourselves, to avoid the superfluous dependencies that weigh the application down and complicate its maintenance over time.

Budget and lead times

A React interface is priced on quotation, according to the scope agreed and the connections to your system. A standard project fits into 21 to 60 days, against 60 days for a tool spread over many modules or several data sources.

Our method

From idea to launch

Six steps, from the first conversation to launch — and the support that follows. The process is the same for an e-commerce site or a mobile app; only the deliverables change.

01
Scoping and specifications

Scoping and specifications for your project

We start from your objectives, not from a list of features. Scope, key user journeys, technical constraints and budget: everything is set down in writing before the first line of code. You know what you will get, when, and at what price.

02
UX / UI designs

UX / UI designs approved before development

You see your site or your app before it exists. We design every screen, test the user journeys and refine until navigation feels obvious. An interface approved at the design stage means development work that never goes to waste.

03
Custom development

Development with the right technology

WordPress or WooCommerce for a site you manage yourself, Next.js for a platform, Flutter or Swift for a mobile app: the technology follows your need, never the other way round. We ship regular test builds so you can follow progress in real conditions.

04
Testing and acceptance

Real-world testing and acceptance

Every build is tested on the browsers and devices your customers actually use: screen sizes, OS versions, unstable connections. We fix issues before your users run into them, not after they report them.

05
Go-live

Go-live and launch

We handle the launch end to end: hosting, domain name, redirects in the case of a redesign, analytics tools — and store publication when the project is an app. Nothing is left on your plate on launch day.

06
Maintenance and new features

Maintenance, updates and new features

A website, like an app, keeps evolving: security updates, version upgrades, new features as your feedback comes in. An optional annual plan covers monitoring and support work, and the code belongs to you in every case.

Frequently asked questions

React agency FAQ

The most frequent questions before launching a React interface with Skyward.

01How much does a React interface with Skyward cost?

An interface with a limited scope, a few screens with simple interactions, remains the quickest case to price. It depends above all on the number of screens, the complexity of the interactions requested and the connections to plan with your API or your existing tools: two interfaces with the same number of screens can cost very differently depending on what happens behind each click. After a first conversation about your screens and your data, we draw up a quote covering the scoping, the component-by-component development and the production release, validated before any code is written.

02How long does it take to deliver a React application?

A limited scope wraps up in 21 to 60 days, the time to frame the screens, develop the components and connect the real data through to production release. A broader tool, with many modules or a complete rebuild of something existing, calls for closer to 60 days. This schedule always includes a testing phase with real users before the final switchover, a stage we never shorten, even under deadline pressure, because it is what avoids nasty surprises after going live.

03Should you choose React or a WordPress site?

The two do not answer the same need. WordPress suits a site whose content is managed day to day by your team, pages and posts included. React is made for an interface driven by user actions rather than by content publishing: a business tool, a client area, a configurator. If your project also has to be found on Google, we steer towards Next.js rather than React alone. This choice is settled from the first conversation, according to what your users actually have to accomplish on screen.

04Can you take over an existing React application?

Yes, we start by reading the existing code: how the components are organised, the dependencies installed, the measured response time and the debt accumulated over successive changes. Depending on this diagnosis, we take over development module by module, first isolating the most fragile components to rework them without touching the rest of the application. A complete rewrite remains rare: we only propose it if the existing base makes that option safer and faster than a progressive takeover.

05Do you offer maintenance once it is in production?

Yes, but nothing is imposed: an optional annual package can be put in place, priced according to the actual scope of the application delivered. It covers updating the dependencies, monitoring the errors reported in production and the associated fixes. React publishes regular versions of its dependencies, and a tool left without follow-up for several years accumulates security flaws that are hard to fix all at once. The content of the package is decided with you at delivery, according to the independence your technical team keeps.

06Does the application's code belong to us?

Yes, without exception: the source code and the version control repository belong to you from final delivery onwards, whatever level of involvement you had in the project. Since React is an open source library, nothing ties you contractually to Skyward afterwards: another team, in house or external, can take over development without our agreement or our involvement. We keep no access to the hosting or to the code once the assignment is over, and you freely choose who hosts and develops the application afterwards, including the day after delivery.

07Is a React application well ranked on Google?

No, not by default: React builds the interface in the visitor's browser, which search engines index poorly without additional configuration. For an internal tool or an authenticated client area, this limit has no consequence since the page is not meant to appear in a search. If on the contrary your project has to be found on Google, we build directly in Next.js rather than in React alone, so as not to have to correct this point after going live.
